The LG GC-B257KQJW is a side by side refrigerator: a full height fridge on one side, a full height freezer on the other, both opening from the middle. The fridge side holds three tempered glass shelves and two vegetable boxes, and the freezer side holds four tempered glass shelves. Top mounted LED lighting is fitted in both compartments.

• The temperature holds instead of swinging. A Smart Inverter Compressor (BLDC) runs at varying speeds rather than only switching fully on and off, and LINEAR Cooling keeps the cabinet steady.
• Vegetables keep their moisture. Two covered vegetable boxes sit at the base of the fridge side, away from the direct cold.
• Leftovers do not scent the whole fridge. A built in deodorizer works on the air inside the cabinet.
• Ice without a plumbing connection. An ice maker bin sits in the freezer door, and there is no through door water dispenser to plumb in.
• Faults explained over the phone. Smart Diagnosis lets an LG technician read the fault from the appliance itself.

The cabinet measures 913 mm wide, 1790 mm high and 735 mm deep, and 620 mm deep with the doors excluded. It weighs 101 kg, so plan the position before it goes in. There is no Wi-Fi, InstaView panel or Door-in-Door section on this model.
