The LG S4-Q12JA28J is a wall mounted split air conditioner rated at 12,000 BTU, with a cooling capacity of 3,517W and a maximum of 3,810W. It runs on 230V, 50Hz mains and uses R410A refrigerant. The indoor unit measures 837 x 308 x 189mm and weighs 8.6kg; the matching outdoor unit (model S4UQ12JA28J.ACWGEAF) measures 717 x 494 x 230mm and weighs 21.8kg.

• Holds the temperature instead of switching on and off. The DUAL Inverter compressor scales down to 586W of cooling and 200W of power draw once the room is cold, rather than stopping and restarting.
• Quiet enough to sleep through. Sound power in cooling drops to 27 dB(A) at the low setting, with 41 dB(A) at the top of the range.
• Control it from your phone. ThinQ Wi-Fi is built in, and there is also a remote control and 24 hour on/off scheduling.
• Cleaner air coming out of the unit. An allergy filter and a pre filter are both fitted, and Auto Cleaning dries the inside after a cooling cycle.
• Air goes where you want it. Five fan steps plus a natural setting, with up and down airflow control in six positions and Comfort Air to keep the draught off you.
• Takes the damp out of the room. A dedicated dehumidification mode runs alongside cooling and fan only modes.
• Settings survive a power cut. Auto Restart brings the unit back on its previous mode when the power returns, and Smart Diagnosis helps a technician find faults faster.

The body is white with silver deco trim, and the discharge louvre is white. This model was launched in October 2023.
