The Sigma SBMF-M229D is a 229 litre bottom mount fridge freezer. The fridge compartment is the tall section at the top and the freezer sits in the compartment underneath. Water is poured from a dispenser set into the front of the fridge door.

Glass shelves wipe down after a spill, and the two clear drawers keep loose fruit and vegetables from rolling about. The door racks take bottles and jars that would otherwise use up shelf space.
  • The food you reach for daily sits at the top. 229 litres in a bottom mount layout, so milk, leftovers and drinks are at hand and you only bend down for frozen food.
  • Cold water without opening the door. The dispenser is built into the front of the fridge door, so a glass is filled while the cabinet stays shut.
  • Frozen food stays sorted. Sigma lists drawers in the bottom freezer, so fish, meat and ice can be kept apart instead of stacked in one space.
  • Fruit and vegetables keep to themselves. Two clear drawers sit below the glass shelves, with racks in the door for bottles and jars.
  • You can see what is at the back. An LED lamp at the top of the fridge compartment lights the shelves below it.
  • One dial and nothing to learn. Cooling is set by mechanical control, with no display or menu to work through.

The pull runs across the lower door, so the freezer can be opened with one hand from either side of the appliance.

Sigma lists the cooling system as defrost and the colour as dark grey, and the doors carry a brushed steel look.
