The Sigma SCF-M700 is a chest freezer that holds 700 litres in one top-opening cabinet. Everything loads from above, so there is nothing to pull out to reach the back, and packs stack on top of each other instead of spreading across shelves.
- Room to freeze in bulk. 700 litres in a single cabinet, so a bulk buy of meat, fish or ice goes in at once instead of being split between two freezers.
- Less ice to scrape out. Sigma lists this model as frost free, so frost does not build up on the walls the way it does in a manual defrost freezer.
- Everyday packs stay within reach. Side baskets sit across the top of the interior, keeping the things you use often off the bottom of the cabinet.
- Set the temperature standing up. A thermostat dial with two indicator lights is mounted on the lower front, next to the vent.
- The condenser can be reached. It sits outside the cabinet wall behind the vented panel at the right-hand end, so dust can be brushed off it and a technician can get to it directly.
- A metal lining, not plastic. The inside is embossed aluminium, and the cabinet outside is finished in silver.
