The Sigma SGC-M5060S-1E-G is a free standing cooker finished in grey, with four cooking zones on top and an oven and grill underneath. Three of the zones burn gas and the fourth is an electric plate. Five knobs sit on the stainless steel panel at the front, with the oven and grill control and the ignition button on the left.

The lid is hinged at the back, so it folds down over the burners once the hob is cool and leaves one flat surface to wipe.
  • Cooking carries on when the cylinder runs empty. Three gas burners share the top with one electric plate, so there is still a working ring when the gas finishes.
  • Light a burner with one hand. Auto ignition sparks from the knob, so you are not hunting for matches at the hob.
  • Bake and grill, not just boil. The oven sits below the hob and the door carries a Closed Door Grilling label, so the grill runs with the door shut.
  • A tray and a dish can go in together. The cavity takes two wire shelves at different heights, which means one round of cooking instead of two.
  • Heavy pots sit steady. Cast iron pan supports run across the hob.
  • The front wipes clean. Stainless steel control panel with the Sigma badge, on a grey body.

Each knob has its own burner marking above it, so you can see which ring you are turning on rather than learning the layout by trial.

The door drops down flat instead of swinging to one side, so a hot tray slides out onto it. The sides carry the same grey finish as the front, which shows if one side of the cooker is on view.
