The Sigma SHB5033-GS is a stick blender you hold in one hand. The shaft goes straight into a pot, a bowl or the beaker, so soup, pepper, groundnut paste and baby food are blended where they already are instead of being moved into a jug.
Two buttons on the top of the handle set the speed. The body is plastic and the blade at the foot of the shaft is stainless steel.
- Blend in the pot, not in a jug. The stick shape lets you drop the shaft straight into hot soup or stew, so there is one less bowl to wash.
- Two speeds for different foods. Take soft tomatoes gently, then step up for firmer ingredients, using the two buttons under your thumb.
- A blade that stays sharp and does not rust. The blade at the foot of the shaft is stainless steel.
- Whisk and chopper shown with the blender. The photo includes a wire whisk for eggs and cream and a lidded chopper bowl for onions, ginger and pepper.
- Light to hold and easy to store. The plastic body keeps the weight down and the whole unit stands in a drawer or on a shelf.
- 1.75 litre beaker. The tall clear beaker gives the blade room to work without splashing over the rim.
